Laser-Engraving

Personalisation is trumps

Who wants a product off the shelf when you can have a unique piece? Michael Ebel, Distribution Manager at cameo Laser Franz Hageman GmbH has the answer: “Garments with a personal touch are the trend.”

“This can be your own name on a fleece or a soft-shell jacket, the company slogan on a bag or even a declaration of love emblazoned on a shoe! This process was introduced by football players such as Bastian Schweinsteiger, and now this highlight on a shoe also enters the areas of mass sports and leisure.”

TV TecStyle Visions 2016

At the TV TecStyle Visions 2016, to be held 4–6 February in Stuttgart, Germany, his company will be showing how quickly and accurately this works on Stand D52 in Hall 4. “With our devices Epilog Zing and Epilog Helix, we achieve even the most intrinsic letterings with clear contours. The surface is removed carefully and the result is a durable eye-catching effect,” continues a cameo representative.

“With these devices it is also possible to engrave patterns and messages on soles of shoes made from leather, rubber, cork or plastics. Whoever wears such shoes leaves his footprints behind, for example in the snow. This is actually the most original way to advertise or to make a marriage proposal,” says Michael Ebel.

Personalisation – this is what he and his team will show live at TV TecStyle Visions 2016 – can be applied not only on unique pieces, but it is also possible to decorate small series in a single process. This technique complements traditional engravings on glass, pens and mobile-phone covers.
