PSI 2018 with expanded Textile Area

From January 9th-11th, 2018, PSI will occupy even more space in the halls of the Exhibition Centre Düsseldorf, with four exhibition halls expected to be completely sold out. The Textile Area alone will be nearly three times larger than last year.

Joining the approximately 1,000 exhibitors from nearly 40 nations will be international key players of the industry, plus newcomers and inventors. Confirmed exhibitors include promotional products manufacturers and distributors, as well as major textiles companies. From classics like the promotional pen to the innovative multi-functional tool, a huge assortment of goods will be on display. Among those represented along with the textiles manufacturers are exhibitors from the sweets segment, an umbrella maker, a toy expert and bag producers.

Textile focus massively expanded

According to the 2017 visitor survey, promotional textiles are particularly attractive to about 35 per cent of the visitors. In addition, nearly 30 per cent of visitors are especially interested in textile finishing. To do justice to this main area of interest, PSI has massively expanded the Textile Area, the place for manufacturers, distributors and finishers from the textile segment to explore the diverse range of products available in the market and to network with each other. Not only will the Textile Area in Hall 10 feature more exhibitors, the programme has also been upgraded. For the first time, various finishing methods will be demonstrated on six Best Practice Islands. Textile Discovery Tours of the promotional textiles landscape will also be making their debut. In addition, visitors can attend the workshops and lectures of the first Forum for Textiles to learn about current topics and industry issues. The Catwalk, an audience favourite, will return to Hall 10. Several slots are available to present the fashion of the promotional products industry.

Product Preview Event to kick off show

Following the successful debut in 2017, PSI distributors from European countries other than Germany can once again participate in the second Product Preview Event at the upcoming PSI. On January 8th, a day before the start of the trade show, up to 20 selected exhibitors from various segments will present their product innovations. At previously arranged meetings and subsequent networking sessions, exhibitors and participants alike will be able to purposefully exchange ideas and connect with each other.

Industry Customer Day

In 2017, advertising agencies and marketing decision-makers from industry companies were able for the first time to get up-close-and-personal with the diversity of promotional products. The Industry Customer Day will be held again in 2018, on January 11th. Otherwise reserved for members only, Industry Customers holding an invitation from their PSI promotional products consultant can visit the show, either alone or accompanied by their consultant. Individual consultation counters and the Industry Customer Lounge in Hall 10 will provide ample opportunity to retreat for discussions.

Premiere: Merchandising & Licensing Lounge

Merchandising and licensing are becoming increasingly significant topics in the promotional products industry. From now on, the new PSI Merchandising and Licensing Lounge in Hall 9 will reflect the entire value chain of key merchandising and licensing processes. The lounge will serve as a venue for product presentations and best practice demonstrations while also offering lots of space to network.
